About Millins

Millins cakes, bakes, meals and preserves are made to the highest standards, under strict hygiene regulations, with a food hygiene score of 5. Many of the preserves are made with homegrown produce from St. Albans & Hertfordshire, Millins only uses British free range eggs. The sugar used for the preserves and most cakes is British. Special diets are catered for such as gluten or dairy intolerance, with two lines made regularly that do not have gluten containing ingredients or milk containing (dairy) ingredients, but other products such as cakes or tarts can be made to order.     ANZACs were an Army biscuit first made for the Australia and New Zealand Army Corp. Millins created this modern recipe to be both gluten and vegan but all lovers of biscuits will enjoy these tasty biscuits.

    Coffee cake

    A full flavoured milk free coffee cake filled and topped with delicious dairy free coffee frosting and decorated with 3 coffee beans. Contains WHEAT, FREE RANGE EGG. This can be made gluten free if wished.


    A soft gingerbread made with gluten free oats and gluten free flour with a delicious dark treacle and stem ginger flavour. Contains (gluten free) OATS

    Home made fruit scones with homemade strawberry jam

    Home made fruit scones, home made strawberry jam and cream...yum! Contains WHEAT, MILK. Vegan scones are possible if requested. I can make them without milk and substitute the cream for a vegan squirty cream<

    Fruit cake

    Fruit cakes for every occasion; Christmas, Easter, Birthday or a naked wedding cake for you to decorate. All are milk free. Standard fruit cake will contain WHEAT, FREE RANGE EGG, ALCOHOL. Book Millins to provide your celebration cake. Gluten free and dairy, alcohol any or all possible.

    Seville orange marmalade

    A hand coarse cut strong old fashioned Seville orange marmalade. My marmalade won silver at the world marmalade awards in Cumbria 2018.

    Lemon Drizzle cake

    A moist and lemony sponge cake drizzled liberally with sugar and lemon. Made without milk. Contains WHEAT, FREE RANGE EGG.

    Eccles cakes

    A tradional cake which originated from the north of England. Moist butter combined with sugary dried fruit inside pastry. Contains WHEAT, MILK. Can be vegan if requested.

    Apple crumble/ Apple pie

    (image shows Apple crumble) English apple encased in homemade shortcrust pastry or topped with a crumble, whichever you prefer. Contains WHEAT. Vegan

    Jam Miniatures

    A four pack selection of miniatures inside a gift box. 4 jams / marmalade preserves (some lines vary due to seasonality of fruits used/stock levels please ask for current list)

    Clock tower box of 3 miniatures

    A wonderful gift. Three 45g jars of homemade preserves (assorted jam and marmalade seasonal selection. Keep for 2 years approx. unopened and 3 months in the firdge after opening.

    Celebration cake

    A simply decorated sponge cake which can be gluten and or dairy free if desired. Choose from cakes such as Chocolate cake covered in rich chocolate and cream ganache (shown), classic Victoria sandwich, coffee or lemon drizzle or any other you prefer. Standard sponge cake will contain WHEAT< FREE RANGE EGG. All Christmas fruit cakes will contain ALCOHOL. All marzipan and iced Christmas cakes and Dundee fruit cakes will contain ALMOND and ALCOHOL.
